This short film is in relation to messages lost in translation. At some point in life everyone sends a message to an ancestor hoping for clear response in return. This silhouette collects the messages from the living and attempts to return the message to the best of its ability. The canvas on the right is where El Mensajero writes back to the living weaving a text that gets lost in translation. Dominguez shares

Cancer is a topic I feel at ease to talk about to anyone now. But it took a lot of time and courage to understand my trauma. I also kept on meeting people who were getting diagnose with cancer later in life. It made me reflect on the significance of surviving cancer at the age of 4. After 16 years of surviving it not only inspired cancer patients' hope but helped their loved ones understand what they might be going through.
